The Star Wars Rebel Preview

On September 24th, the newest season of The Star Wars Rebel was premiered in London, even before it debut on Disney XD. The episode can now be viewed on WatchDisneyXD.com, but only if you are subscribed with the authenticated TV channels, which is sad news for Star Wars fan in the country. However, I am sure that enthusiast will be able to get their hands on the episode through some partially crooked means of torrents and third party websites. The review will refrain from giving out any spoiler and only discuss about the new characters and overall storyline arrangement.

The premiere of season 3 begins with a misleadingly funny scene showing Erza, Zeb, Sabine and Chopper breaking Hondo and Ugnaught associate out of jail. But this led to a several imperial problems. Parts scene was also sown in trailer released earlier.

Like I said, “misleadingly funny”, so don’t think that its all fun and games. The impact at the end of season 2 has not been forgotten at all, where Erza had opened a Sithholocorn when we last him. Erza’s mindset prove to be the most important aspect of the premiere, as we see that Padawan looked much more confident and capable, while keeping his emotions in check at the time, regardless of his internal problems.

But its nearly impossible to compare between season 2 and season 3, because they both started with big celebration, however the impact of season 2 beginning was much greater due to the fact that Darth Vader was on the warpath and sensing other’s presence with Ahsoka, which was an eventful and long awaited moment.

However the episode was still very strong in a sense that it provided a lot insight and intrigue set up for the coming season. The appearance of Darth Vader in this series appears highly unlikely, however it does a new and exciting villain, the Grand Admiral Thrawn, who is a cool character with a formidable presence. He’s not an exact duplicate of the character’s portrayal in Timothy Zahn’s Heir to the Empire book trilogy, but he certainly carries the same attitude and presence. His voice is perfectly dubbed and resonates the feeling of danger and intellect, ensuring that he is a brilliant tactician and will be big challenge for our heroes.

Also appearing in the Season 3 premiere is Tom Baker’s character, Bendu, who’s a fascinating new inclusion. As the trailer shows, Bendu seems to be a creature particularly powerful in the Force – almost an Avatar of the Force, representing what’s in between the light and dark sides.Bendu feels like the spiritual successor for the offbeat Mortis storyline on The Clone Wars (which also featured beings who embodied elements of the Force itself) and Baker brings just the right thoughtful, effortlessly confident tone to the character.

There is a slight time skip in season 3 and points out to an evolving new chapter. Erza and Kannan have morphed and developed progressively with the situation. Not only by nature the characters are also developing visually and adding dynamic and stirring additions to their former selves.
